Statement from the organizers regarding weather:

“The parade will start promptly at 6:00 PM rain or shine! (Severe weather cancellations would be announced no sooner than 6:00 PM.)

I suspect the parade will be on, despite any rain we receive, so prepare for the weather!

Line-up time: 5:30 p.m.

Parade time: 6:00 p.m.

Parade Line-up location: Parade staging will take place in the parking lot of Transfiguration Catholic Church at 6133 15th Street N.

Parade Route: Parade route begins at Geneva Avenue and 15th Street, travels east on 15th Street, and concludes at City Hall (15th and Hadley). Parade Route Map

Parking Hints

From organizers: There is no extra parking at the staging area. Only vehicles in the parade, with a parade permit displayed, will be allowed in the staging area. All participants other than those in a permitted parade vehicle must park off-site. Parking near the staging area is very limited, but available in the Titan Office Building lot and the Oakwood Professional Center lot located on Geneva Avenue south of Transfiguration Church. PLEASE access these areas from 10th Street to ensure the safety of pedestrians.

Art: Parking in neighborhoods to South of 15th near end is possible but crowded and convenient to get to lineup, but you have to cross the tail end of the parade to get there afterward (unless you are hanging out for the festivities, which looked fun). If you are OK with an extra block or two to get to lineup, a more convenient spot afterward is to park near Hadley and 17th or further North. All the parade units will be going along that road, but I have done it in the past with success. If you are coming in close to 5:30, you may want to approach from the North (Hadley and Hwy 36) to avoid road closures.

We will have a vehicle in the lineup lot that you can stash non-valuables in during the parade. Since this is not a loop parade (the end area is different from start), we MAY pull a second wagon for SMALL items that you want at lineup but not while riding (raingear, etc).
