IMPORTANT DETAILS from parade organizers 2026

• Staging Location: Central Ave. between 29th Ave NE and 27th Ave NE.
• CRITICAL ENTRANCE ROUTE: You MUST enter Section B by traveling southbound on Central Avenue from 29th Ave NE. This is the only vehicle entry point. If you approach from the south, you will hit roadblocks and a very narrow detour. Please stay in the right lane (west side) as you approach.
• Vehicle Restrictions: Only vehicles physically participating in the parade are allowed in the staging area. No support or personal vehicles may park here. Extra vehicles should park on nearby residential streets (carpooling is highly recommended!).
• Drop-off Protocol: Do not drop off participants directly on Central Ave. Please conduct all drop-offs inside the residential neighborhood and have participants walk to your unit. If your unit consists only of walkers, please enter the staging area directly from the residential side streets.
• Parade Dispersal: The parade officially ends at 18th Ave NE. All units must exit the route by turning either east or west onto 18th Ave NE to unload or pick up participants.
• No Stationary Performing: Please keep your unit moving continuously down the entire route—no stationary stopping is permitted

Parking Hints

Parade directors recommend entering the staging area on St. Anthony Parkway (red arrow on the map) if you choose to park near the start of the parade. Many unicyclists will most likely be parking in the neighborhoods east or west of Central Avenue near the end of the parade route. Central Ave will be hard to navigate before the parade with lane closures starting at 5:30. Mike: I always park on Tyler off of 18th and it is really easy to get back out to 35W south after the parade.
