Line-up time: 1 p.m.

Parade time: 2 p.m.

Parade Line-up location: East Como parking lot, south side of the fairgrounds, see fair map.

Line-up Position: Line up information is not shared in advance. Parade officials will let us know our position that day. Meet near the tent and trailer on the south side of the parking lot, just look for the unicycles. 

Parade Manager: TBA

Parade Route: The 14-block parade route begins near the Haunted House, goes north on Cosgrove St., west on Randall Ave., and south on Underwood St. ending just south of the Haunted House.

Parking Hints

We get fair tickets for members in the parade, so you can attend the fair before or after the parade.

If you come early in the morning, there may be parking in one of the Como lots right near the line-up, so you would be able to leave your unicycle in the car until parade line-up. Otherwise, operate as your would for your normal fair trips on locating parking.

Mike S.: In 2011 we took a shuttle bus from Roseville HS with our unicycles, and that worked fine. At the main fair gate they would not let us enter the fair with the unicycles, so we had to walk around to the line-up lot. But other people were able to get into the fairgrounds at gates with unicycles.

Art: There is a bicycle corral at the southeast corner of the fair grounds. If you come early or want to stay later, you can check your uni in there and come back for it later (this is not far from lineup). If you bring a compact bike lock, that might be a good idea, but they issue tickets when you check it in and should check them as you leave.

We have a permit to park a vehicle in the lot around lineup to lock things in during the parade. No guarantees that the space will be near the lineup area (or even that there will be a space available), but there has been the last few years.
